Our Food Bank supports local feeding efforts by providing food, household essentials, and critical resources to community partners serving individuals and families in need. Our Culinary Training Program empowers young adults with learning differences through hands-on culinary education, nationally recognized certifications, workplace readiness training, and job placement assistance. This work is made possible through the generosity and commitment of our dedicated donors, volunteers, and business partners.
With our Maryland Food Bank partnership and the support of our generous donors and volunteers, we provide critical resources to community feeding partners and backpack programs serving individuals and families in five counties across Southern Maryland.

Our free 10-week Culinary Training Program teaches foundational culinary skills while integrating workplace readiness training to help individuals with learning differences successfully enter, navigate, and remain in the workforce. Students build confidence, strengthen employability skills, and earn a nationally recognized certification in the culinary field, helping prepare them for meaningful employment and greater independence.

The Lobby Coffee Bar & Cafe provides hands-on internships for young adults with learning differences through partnership with our Culinary Program of End Hunger, helping students build workplace skills, confidence and real-world experience while every visit supports our mission to end hunger and empower futures right here in Southern Maryland.

Food items are sent home with children in their backpacks to provide nutrition over the weekends and holiday breaks. The End Hunger Food Bank supports local churches, food pantries, and community organizations that partner with the public school system — each sponsoring one or more schools and working directly with school counselors to meet the need each week.
